Patient Profile
Name: Kuljeet Kaur
Age: 49.5 years
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Married
Children: 1 child (16 years old)
Initial Health Concerns
“I was gaining an enormous amount of weight, and while weight had been an issue since my pregnancy, I had always managed to lose it through exercise and diet control.
This time was different. I constantly felt lethargic and exhausted. Acidity and constipation had become part of my everyday life. Because of this, I frequently experienced severe headaches and often relied on migraine medications.
My breasts had started feeling extremely hard and painful — something I had previously experienced only during my menstrual cycle. Since my last period was 2.5 years ago and given my age, I began undergoing regular mammograms due to concern about the pain and breast density.
I had also tried several Ayurvedic medications in the past, but nothing provided sustainable relief.
An ex-work colleague strongly recommended that I consult Rupinder at Urban Naturopath.”
Primary Symptoms
At the beginning of treatment, the patient presented with the following symptoms:
- Painful and dense breasts diagnosed as BI-RADS III
- Severe acidity and acid reflux
- Frequent migraine-like headaches
- Chronic constipation
- High triglycerides and elevated LDL cholesterol
- Long-standing lower back pain and weakness, aggravated by exercise
- Persistent fatigue and lethargy
- Weight gain with inability to lose weight despite exercise and dietary restrictions
Naturopathy Treatment
Treatment Duration: 25 February 2026 – 25 May 2026 (3 Months)
Kuljeet followed a personalized naturopathy program focused on dietary correction, gut healing, detoxification, yoga, and home-based natural therapies. This natural approach aimed not to alleviate her symptoms but to address the underlying causes: food and lifestyle-related imbalances.
The patient also had a long history of frequent medication use, especially for migraines, along with supplementation for iron, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin D deficiencies. She had previously undergone surgical removal of the gall bladder.
Treatment Protocols
- Dietary Modifications and Gut Healing
The initial phase of treatment focused on calming severe acidity and improving digestion. In this stage her diet was primarily: Fresh fruits and Vegetable juices.
As symptoms improved, raw vegetable salads, lightly steamed/sautéed vegetables and sprouts were gradually introduced.
The treatment later focused on improving bowel regularity and supporting gut detoxification to address the root causes of acidity, constipation, and headaches. When mild gas formation occurred after introducing sprouts, dietary adjustments were made accordingly.
- Liver Support and Detoxification
A structured liver-support protocol was introduced as part of the naturopathy treatment.
This phase required careful monitoring because the patient had previously undergone gall bladder removal surgery, which can affect fat digestion and liver function.
- Home-Based Naturopathy Therapies
The following naturopathy therapies were consistently incorporated into the treatment plan:
- Kunjal Kriya to relieve acidity
- Water enemas to improve bowel clearance and support detoxification
- Stomach bandages to cool and reinvigorate the digestive system
- Steam baths performed regularly at a local gym
- Yoga and Physical Activity
A customized yoga routine was introduced to:
- Strengthen abdominal and gut muscles. This is especially relevant where abnormal gas formation is an issue.
- Improve mobility
- Support digestion and bowel movements
Daily walking was made mandatory as part of the healing process.
As the patient had a history of gas build-up and digestive sluggishness, exercises focusing on gut muscle toning and movement were emphasized.
- Gradual Reduction of Medication and Supplements
Under supervision, the patient gradually reduced and stopped:
- Migraine medications
- Iron supplements
- Vitamin B12 supplements
- Vitamin D supplements
- Various Ayurvedic medicines previously used for symptom management
