  • Client Name: Rajika Mehta
  • Age 42
  • Gender: Female
  • Marital Status: Married
  • Children: One

Initial Concerns & Symptoms

Rajika came to me (Your urban naturopath) simply wanting a detox, as her body after 40 had started changing. However, the initial health consultation and subsequent bloodwork revealed:

  • Hypothyroidism for 12 years, was on 75mcg for 2 years
  • Periods beginning to show changes, irritability, mood swings
  • Constipation
  • Constant & reoccurring allergies, sinusitis and throat congestions
  • Weight: 70.8kgs

Treatment Timelines & Process

Naturopathy Treatment for 6 weeks: Aug 2026- 21 Sep 2026
Initial Bloodwork:                                03 Jun 2026
Follow-up Bloodwork:                         20 Oct 2026

Rajika followed a personalized naturopathy treatment involving food-as-medicine, guided detoxification, and home-based therapies. This natural approach aimed not just to provide symptomatic relief but also to address the underlying causes of her various chronic symptoms. By week 6, significant changes were visible.

  • Dietary Modifications: Her diet mainly consisted of fruits, pineapple juice & hot lemon +honey water in the initial days. Once the constipation broke and the cholesterol was normalised, lightly steamed vegetables and salads were added.
  • Home-Based Naturopathy Therapies: Neem Enemas, Jal Neti, stomach bandages and mustard oil packs were continuously used to cleanse the gut and aid with Allergic conditions, sinusitis & break the constipation.
  • Physical Activity: A tailored yoga sequence was incorporated to strengthen GUT muscles and restore Hormonal balance.
  • Tapering Medication: Rajika had been on medication for 12 years, and on 75 mcg thyroxine when we started. This was gradually tapered & stopped post 2 weeks into treatment.

 Outcomes: Sep & Oct 2026

  • Within 4 weeks, Rajika had experienced significant improvement in her constipation, allergies & sinusitis. Stool was more regular with less gas & bloating.
There was a boost in her overall energy, mood and PMS symptoms were hardly noticeable.
  • The big change came in her thyroid panel test, with T3 achieving normal readings.
  • Total Cholesterol was now within range, however LDL & Non-HDL remained somewhat elevated.
