When P came for her first consultation to Urban Naturopath, she was used to managing small health fluctuations. For years, she’d managed her headaches, elevated cholesterol and blood pressure with home remedies, using allopathic medication only as SOS. So, when her annual health check-up once again flagged high cholesterol and hypertension, she wasn’t overly concerned—until the TMT (Treadmill/Stress Test) results came in.

The report read: Reversible Myocardial Ischemia.
The recommendation: Angiography.

This finding came as a shock. P led a highly active lifestyle—running 5–10 km regularly, strength training five days a week—and was determined to avoid invasive procedures if possible. That’s when she chose to explore a six-week naturopathic program with us.

The Naturopathy Journey

It became evident quickly that we needed to focus on her gut health, which often is the root cause of chronic imbalances. P’s body showed signs of internal heat and mild dehydration, which she had previously countered with homemade butter and ghee. We replaced this with a curated plan of:

  • Hydrating fruits and juices
  • A single herb water to help with internal heat and cholesterol.
  • A temporary pause on high-intensity workouts
  • Daily walking and yoga

Blood pressure and physical signs were monitored consistently throughout by means of daily check-ins.

After beginning the naturopathy protocol on May 3rd, 2025, we ran follow-up tests on June 5th, 2025. We were happy to notice that her Cholestrol and Blood Pressure had both been lowered to normal ranges.

Given her renewed vitality and energy, P is looking forward to going back gradually to her rigorous workouts. ecause she did not want to continue further naturopathy treatment, we have recommended that she do a cardiologist consultation.
